If you prefer to enjoy the blossoms without the hustle and bustle, consider visiting Xinshe District in Taichung. In many areas of Xinshe, cherry trees have already begun to bloom, with some streets even fully in blossom—perfect for cherry blossom enthusiasts.

1. Xinshe White Hair Platform Cherry Grove
Located in Fude Temple, Fuxing Li, Bai Mao Tai area of Xinshe, there is a cherry grove stretching over 300 meters along the trail. The path is lined with a sea of pink blossoms, complemented by swirling mist, creating a fairytale-like atmosphere—a hidden gem for cherry blossom viewing in Xinshe.

The cherry trees around Xinshe High School on Zhonghe Street are particularly beautiful, extending all the way to the cherry-lined promenade near Xinshe District Office and Xingshe Street. The mountain cherry trees, planted as street trees, typically bloom from late January to late February. Around Lunar New Year, the blossoms create a dreamy and romantic scene. Other varieties planted include yaezakura, fuji, and botan cherries, each blooming at different times.
