What a huge book!\xa0Taipei’s new attraction is full of literary charm

A long holiday and wondering where to take the kids? Besides water activities, you can also take them on an educational journey. In Dali, Taichung, there's the “Taiwan Printing Exploration Museum,” a building constructed from giant books that is quite eye-catching. This is the first printing industry tourism factory in Taiwan. In addition to offering a glimpse into the history of the printing world, there are also many interactive experience game zones. The educational yet fun environment allows both children and adults to experience the wonderful world of printing together!

Stepping into the giant book house, the Taiwan Printing Exploration Museum aims to unveil all the secrets of printing. The exhibition hall is divided into several sections, including the “Printing Time Machine,” “The Secret Diary of Invoices,” “Printing Magic Museum,” “The Birthplace of Invoices,” “Print & Play,” “Cultural & Creative Shop,” and “Printing Magic Museum.” Each area offers visitors a rich experience and knowledge. The “Printing Time Machine” takes both adults and children on a journey through time to experience how printing has driven the progress of world civilization, while also learning about the birth process of a book. “The Secret Diary of Invoices” unveils the mysterious veil of unified invoices, giving everyone a deeper understanding of them. The “Printing Magic Museum” displays visual communication works that differ from traditional paintings. Through interactive methods, it allows both adults and children to “experience” the concepts conveyed by the works during the process and resonate with them. The images in this museum are made from special materials that produce magical changes under certain conditions, delivering unexpected surprises and shocks both visually and emotionally.

Additionally, there's the “Print & Play” area where both adults and children can create their own unique souvenirs to take home. Here, you can also experience the printing technique invented by Mr. Gutenberg in Germany between 1453–1456. Meanwhile, the “Cultural & Creative Shop” features a variety of creative goods designed with ingenious printing techniques, as well as star merchandise of mascot babies and regional specialty products from central Taiwan, allowing both children and adults to come treasure hunting!
