The five-hectare ecological pond at Dongshi Forestry Culture Park is bursting with blooming lotuses. To accommodate more lotus-loving visitors, the park will remain open every day throughout the summer vacation until September 1, offering free admission for all to come and enjoy the lotuses！

July and August are the peak seasons for lotus blossoms. The expansive five-hectare ecological pond at Dongshi Forestry Culture Park is covered with blooming lotuses vying for attention. In the sweltering heat that can be both oppressive and restless, a leisurely stroll along the pond allows you not only to admire the lotuses’ fresh and elegant beauty but also to feel the gentle lotus-scented breeze and catch whiffs of their delicate fragrance. Despite the blazing sun, many photography enthusiasts and visitors drawn to the lotuses flock here to capture these beautiful summer moments.

The original opening hours of Dongshi Forestry Culture Park were from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. In recent years, the blooming lotuses in the park’s ecological log storage ponds have become one of the best lotus-viewing spots in central Taiwan. To offer more visiting time options for lotus enthusiasts, from July 13 to September 1, the park will be open free of charge every Monday and Tuesday.
