The ultra-popular fried chicken shop “Zenkaku” from Kyushu, Japan, opened its first overseas branch in Taipei on July 16. Its uniquely flavored fried chicken, marinated in a secret sauce, boasts an especially rich taste loved by Japanese customers. Each piece is marinated for 24 hours to ensure the meat absorbs the full flavor of the sauce. Paired with the thin skin, it locks in the juices perfectly—biting into it releases a burst of rich taste and aroma, delicious on its own without any additional seasoning. In addition to bringing authentic Japanese-style fried chicken to Taiwan, Zenkaku also offers an exclusive Taiwanese limited-edition item: “Boss Fries,” which are up to 30 cm long—not only the longest in Japan but also the longest in the world, making them quite the novelty!
