The 1st arrondissement is located on the right bank of the Seine River in Paris. It is the most central part of the city and includes the western side of Île de la Cité, making it the oldest district in Paris. Staying here, although pricey, offers extremely convenient transportation. You can leisurely admire the Seine from the Pont Neuf or Pont des Arts, or, just like Parisians, enjoy the sunshine in the Tuileries Garden during summer.
