Deep in the mountains of northwestern Xinjiang lies Hemu Township, selected by "China National Geography Magazine" as one of China’s most beautiful villages. In the early morning, the village appears and disappears amid the clouds and mist, presenting a fairyland-like scenery amidst green trees and blue hills. The natural way of life of the local Kazakh and Tuwa peoples adds a strong cultural vitality to this land, making it a dreamlike and beautiful village.

In 2005, "China National Geography Magazine" selected China’s most beautiful villages, and Hemu Township was listed, drawing increasing attention to this place. Hemu Township offers different scenic views throughout the four seasons. In summer, flowers bloom abundantly—poppies, peonies, and lilies can often be seen in vibrant display, while livestock graze leisurely by streams on the grasslands, bringing vitality to the land. The best time to visit, however, is in late September when autumn arrives. The birch forests surrounding the village turn golden, complemented by mist and lush green mountains, along with the rising smoke from traditional wooden houses, creating a subtly luxurious and beautiful scene.
