Shanghai Disneyland's 6 Themed Lands Revealed: Star Wars and Marvel Heroes Join the Fun
Shanghai Disneyland is expected to officially open in spring 2016, becoming the first Disney theme park on the Chinese mainland. Recently, Shanghai Disneyland gave excited fans an early look at the six major themed lands within the park, including “Mickey Avenue,” “Gardens of Imagination,” “Fantasyland,” “Tomorrowland”… Among them, right next to “Tomorrowland,” two exclusive experience areas created specially for Shanghai Disneyland—the “Star Wars Launch Bay” and “Marvel Universe”—have been planned, allowing visitors to get up close and personal with their favorite heroes, which is highly anticipated.

The six themed lands of Shanghai Disneyland include: “Mickey Avenue,” the world’s first greeting street designed around Mickey Mouse and his friends, where guests can embrace Disney characters to their hearts’ content, alongside a variety of themed shops offering all kinds of Disney souvenirs in one place; “Gardens of Imagination,” which combines whimsical ideas inspired by nature, featuring seven magical little gardens that are enchanting; “Fantasyland,” the largest land in the park and home to the tallest and most beautiful fairy-tale castle in the world, where guests can encounter numerous beloved Disney stories.
