Where to cool off this summer? Yilan has its Children’s Folk Games Festival, while Nantou hosts the Shuili Water Play Festival. The 104th Shuili Water Play Festival kicks off joyfully over three consecutive weekends starting July 24 at Shuili Qinqin Water Park.

Shuili Qinqin Water Park channels the cool, clear waters of the Shuili River to create a safe and comfortable play environment, making it an ideal summer spot to beat the heat. In preparation for this year’s Shuili Water Play Festival, event organizers have ensured ample water supply so everyone can enjoy themselves. Over the years, the Shuili Water Play Festival has built up considerable fame. Each week features fun-themed activities, along with carefully designed photo zones with cute main visuals, water play areas for parent-child games, children’s entertainment zones, adorable inflatable play areas, and the treasure hunt “Five Treasure Ball Pool” — all safe water attractions offering both fun and refreshment.

The 104th Water Play Festival kicked off grandly on July 24, featuring themed carnival events over three consecutive weekends. The first week, “Kids’ Carnival” (July 24–26), sparks potential and showcases the youthful energy of children. The second week, “Passion Carnival” (July 31–August 2), has no limits on talent, inviting residents to showcase community skills and local creative flair. The third week, “Family Carnival” (August 6–9), includes a special Father’s Day event “The Birth of the King” and parent-child fashion shows with performances.
