The "Itasha" (anime-themed vehicle) of the Kaohsiung MRT Girls sets sail, and the One Piece-themed train also joins in the fun

The charm of the Kaohsiung MRT character economy is budding. Taiwan’s first Itasha featuring the railway company’s own virtual characters—the “Kaohsiung MRT Girls Itasha” (Itasha originates from Japan and refers to vehicles covered in anime characters)—will serve passengers on the Kaohsiung MRT Orange Line from today until November 1.

This summer, the Kaohsiung MRT stations are filled with youthful vibes. The “Kaohsiung MRT Girls Itasha” has officially launched on the Orange Line starting today, and the fourth new member of the Kaohsiung MRT Girls—Nainai—makes her debut in a customer service professional role, marking the full lineup of the MRT Girls. The “Kaohsiung MRT Girls Itasha” will run on the Kaohsiung MRT Orange Line from today until November 1. The train’s design is themed around three concepts: a day in the life of the MRT Girls, their favorite public art, and their loving reminders. Each car cleverly uses bright and vivid illustrations to reflect the unique traits of each girl, immersing fans in the world of the Kaohsiung MRT Girls as they interact and converse with them, while also gaining a deeper understanding of the Kaohsiung MRT. Additionally, Yanchengpu Station on the Orange Line is where the MRT Girls were born. To give fans an extra sweet surprise, the Itasha’s theme design has been fully reproduced as a large-scale mural in the station.
