After 40 years 　A ¥100 Tianxiang Hot Spring will close on April 2

Taipei CityTianxiang Hot Spring on Xingyi Road in Beitou, Taipei, has been around for 40 years and is set to close on April 2, 2017, which is heartbreaking.

Tianxiang Hot Spring holds a special place in the memories of locals. The owner said the decision to close was due to changes and new rules under the Hot Spring Act, along with the depletion of the hot spring source. After years of persistent efforts, Tianxiang ultimately could not secure a hot spring certification because it was too near the river, forcing it to cease operations and undergo complete demolition. As for whether it will reopen or find a new location, the owner said that remains unknown.

Tianxiang Hot Spring is a long-standing bathhouse on Xingyi Road. A single private bath costs just ¥100, while the public baths are ¥70, offering excellent value for money. It has been highly recommended by netizens, attracting not only middle-aged and elderly visitors but also young people.
