Japan's unusual hotel opens — velociraptor robots assist you

Japan’s Huis Ten Bosch unveiled the world’s first robot hotel, “Weird Hotel” (WeirdHotel), on August 17. Like conventional hotels, it provides a five-star luxury stay, but what’s most unique is that from the moment you check in, all services are handled entirely by robots. There’s even a drone food delivery service — this gimmick-packed new style of hospitality has piqued much curiosity.

Upon entering Weird Hotel, you’ll immediately see beautiful female robots and dinosaur robots at the front desk handling check-in procedures fluently in both Japanese and English. Although guests still need to fill out their information themselves, after completing the check-in process, automated luggage carts take care of carrying your bags and guiding you — kicking off a stay where a series of services are performed by robots.
