VIRTUAL GIVING TRIP (virtual donation journey) is an experiential service launched by TOMS in 2015 that integrates the latest tech products. It primarily utilizes Samsung’s virtual reality headset, the Gear VR Innovator Edition released this year, along with TOMS’ self-developed app experience program. Through recorded video footage, it takes consumers on a firsthand journey to witness the implementation of the “ONE FOR ONE” shoe donation initiative in Peru. This service will also be available for free to consumers at TOMS retail counters nationwide starting mid-August.

This virtual journey experience lasts just 4 minutes and 15 seconds, but it feels as if you are personally present in a small Peruvian village thousands of kilometers away, joining the TOMS team in carrying out the shoe donation mission. In addition to experiencing the local culture and scenery,

The TOMS team also specifically visited the homes of the children who received donations and watched these kids perform a dance. Through this journey, TOMS aims to fully convey the charitable spirit of “ONE FOR ONE”—buy one pair of shoes, donate one pair—showcasing the brand team’s donation work records and allowing participants to gain a full understanding.
