Enjoy solo stays in luxury at SingleInn’s hot spring baths and saunas

More and more people are embracing solo travel, packing their bags and venturing to different cities at their own pace to explore and enjoy complete freedom. To meet the growing demand for solo journeys, a new type of capsule-like accommodation has emerged. This year, SINGLE INN, a single-room hotel, opened in Banqiao, Taipei. Not only is it conveniently located, but the prices are also very affordable—at less than NT$1,000, you can stay in a comfortable single room and even enjoy services like hot spring baths and saunas, making solo travel truly enjoyable.

SINGLE INN currently has two branches, one in Kaohsiung and one in Banqiao, Taipei. Both are just about a 10-minute walk from the train station or MRT station, making them very convenient for travelers without private transport. The hotel uses partitions to create individual rooms that are compact but fully equipped, offering essentials such as a single bed, MUJI bedding, a 32-inch TV, and a side table. Please note that since the rooms are only separated by simple partitions, sound insulation isn’t ideal. Guests are encouraged to respect others by keeping noise to a minimum. For those who are light sleepers, earplugs are available at the front desk.

Besides the private single rooms, SINGLE INN also emphasizes guest interaction, providing a spacious common area with free drinks where guests can relax or share travel tips and experiences. As for bathroom facilities, both branches feature Japanese-style communal bathhouses. Aside from standard showers, guests can enjoy hot spring baths and saunas. (The large bathhouse at the Taipei branch is currently under construction and is expected to be completed after autumn.)
