The 2015’s most buzzed-about animated film, Minions, captured global attention. Not only was the movie a major success, but its range of merchandise was also in extremely high demand. Though the film has ended its theatrical run, the yellow fever still rages on. Japanese businesses, in collaboration with Universal Studios, have held large-scale Minions marathon events titled “Minions Funrun & MUSIC FESTIVAL JAPAN” in six Japanese cities starting in 2016. During the event, not only can you see thousands of real-life Minions running together, but American singer Pharrell Williams was also invited to serve as DJ at the festival.

Just imagining it is exciting. The event will be held in six locations across Japan, including Hokkaido, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, Okinawa, and Tokyo. The confirmed dates so far are Tokyo (February 13–14, 2016) and Okinawa (March 26–27, 2016), while the schedules for the other four cities have yet to be announced.
