Stirring the rice waves, U-Theatre’s powerful performance electrifies the Chihshang Harvest Art Festival

The Chihshang Harvest Rice Art Festival officially enters its sixth year. This year on October 31 and November 1, U-Theatre is invited back to Chihshang to perform their work "Beyond Time" against a backdrop of blue skies, white clouds, and swaying rice fields, inviting domestic and international visitors to embark on a soul-enriching artistic journey in the serene embrace of the Central Mountain Range.

The Chihshang Harvest Art Festival, organized by the Taiwan Good Foundation, once again invites U-Theatre to return to Chihshang with the classic piece "Beyond Time." This marks the first outdoor performance of U-Theatre’s "Beyond Time," and the presentation has been adapted to suit the venue, removing the original projection elements in hopes of allowing audiences to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of Taitung’s landscapes. The piece incorporates martial arts, drumming, and sacred dance—distinct from U-Theatre’s traditional drumming style. The rapid drumbeats and intricate movements of sacred dance delve into Zen, breaking through the boundaries of time, sound, and the beauty of silence.Tickets go on sale at 12:00 PM on September 12 via the National Theater and Concert Hall ticketing system. Fans hoping to experience this rare blend of art and nature in Chihshang shouldn’t miss out.
