● Jibei Sand Spit in Penghu
The beautiful Jibei Sand Spit in Penghu is considered the top scenic attraction in the region, with its breathtaking seascape said to rival world-famous spots like San Francisco Bay and Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay. The sand spit was formed by the accumulation of shell sand and coral debris pushed by the tides onto the azure waters — a sight loved by many visitors.

● Lanyu Weather Station
Located on a branch of the Central Cross-Island Highway at an altitude of 324 meters, Lanyu Weather Station sits in the central part of the island and is the highest and best viewpoint in Lanyu. With a 360-degree panoramic view, Yeying, Dongqing Bay, Hongtou, and Batai Bay are all spread out before your eyes. In front of the weather station, there is well-maintained lawn and stone tables and chairs where visitors can take a rest and leisurely enjoy the beautiful scenery.

● Sanxiantai
Located about 3 kilometers northeast of Chenggong, Sanxiantai is a unique scenic area formed by offshore islets and coral reef coasts. It is an uninhabited volcanic block island and is not only the most famous spot on the east coast to welcome the sunrise but also a great place to enjoy the moon.

● Qixingtan in Hualien
At first glance, it may sound like a star-shaped lake, but upon arriving at Qixingtan, you’ll surely be captivated by its crescent-shaped bay. Also known as Crescent Bay, Qixingtan is a sapphire-colored gravel bay, with the towering Central Mountain Range at its far end — a stunning mountain-and-sea encounter that has enchanted countless visitors.
