I spotted IceDEA’s extraordinary ice cream in an in-flight magazine on Nok Air. It’s crafted into various fun shapes—steak, durian, mango sticky rice... all kinds of food. It’s tucked inside BACC, accessible via BTS National Stadium Station, right in the heart of Bangkok. How could I miss it? I definitely had to try it and see if it’s truly this amazing.

After arriving at National Stadium BTS Station, I stepped out and noticed MBK had gotten a fresh makeover—only four months since my last visit, and the transformation was lightning-fast. The revamped exterior is stunning, with large artworks at the entrance drawing crowds for photos. It’s right next to the Princess Hotel Bangkok, where I previously stayed. It’s super convenient for shopping and dining—definitely worth checking out.

Head up to the 4th floor of BACC to find IceDEA’s storefront. A few tables and chairs are set up outside, while the shop has about four tables for dine-in.

Don’t assume this is just another ice cream shop… I almost made that mistake myself. I thought it was a regular ice cream spot and didn’t pay much attention—big error. Turns out, they also serve fancy, sculpted ice cream creations~

Take a look—none of these are savory dishes. They’re actual ice cream shaped to look like real food. Isn’t that incredible?! They make sushi, tonkatsu rice, steak, and even custard buns. It was such a delightful surprise. I haven’t seen anything like this in Taiwan yet—wonder if it’ll ever make its way here?

In Taiwan, we usually see bonsai-style tiramisu, but here they have rose-shaped ice cream. Isn’t it gorgeous~~

Each dessert is 155 baht, with three flavor options. Check out the flavor breakdown chart in-store to pick your favorite.

The shop also displays photos of celebrities visiting and trying their creative ice treats. Some are so cleverly disguised, you’d never guess they’re ice cream. The chef is seriously talented and super skilled with their hands~

Rose Bonsai – 155 baht

We went with the pink rose, made with milk, strawberry yogurt, cheesecake, Oreo chocolate, and pink milk. The design is absolutely stunning—I didn’t want to eat it. And the coolest part? It even comes with a little shovel for serving. So adorable.

As I scooped it up with the tiny shovel, my mood instantly lifted. The serving dish is super cute too. Sweet ice cream with a touch of romance~

Custard Bun – 70 baht

I wanted to try other custard bun flavors, but only the chocolate one was left. Of course, I couldn’t pass it up. The outer layer had a slightly frosted look, making it look incredibly realistic—maybe because it had been chilled longer?

I thought it was just plain chocolate ice cream, but when I sliced it open, it actually oozed out rich chocolate sauce. So inventive, and the taste was pretty great too.

Durian Cone – 39 baht
This durian cone is insanely well-made. It looks exactly like a real durian. The “shell” is a savory durian flavor, while the inside is a sweet durian filling. It’s super fragrant and delicious. I loved it. < /p >

Steak – 175 baht

We came here specifically for this steak. When it arrived, we were genuinely shocked—it looked exactly like the photos. It’s seriously impressive, like a freshly grilled steak~

We ordered it medium-rare (五分熟), and the “juices” that seeped out were pink—strawberry milk flavored. Absolutely brilliant. The temperature was perfectly controlled. The chocolate steak was also quite tasty, and the staff even gave us seasoning to enhance the steak-like illusion.

Our group’s total bill came to 639 baht. The creativity here is just so fun, and the chef keeps rolling out new items. Who knows what wild creation they’ll come up with next? Can’t wait to find out~

Bangkok’s weather is pretty scorching. For a refreshing afternoon treat, head to IceDEA for cool desserts and check out their rotating exhibitions. It’s a great way to beat the heat~
