This riding eventaims not only to help light rail passengers familiarize themselves with self-service ticket validation at platforms or inside carriages using an EasyCard,and the method of pressing buttons to open doors when boarding or alighting—features different from those of the MRT or buses—but also to help general road users understand and comply as early as possible with the new concepts and facilities introduced by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications for road sections shared with the light rail,such as the light rail’s right of way,and the audiovisual signals for mass rapid transit.At the same time, it allows relevant departments to accumulate relevant supporting experience early on.
