Eslite returns to Zhongxiao SOGO to create a hidden bookstore in Taipei's East District

Following the Kaohsiung Eslite Bopiliao store, which is filled with the maritime style of the harbor city, on October 6, Eslite opened the "Eslite Zhongxiao SOGO Store" at Pacific SOGO Department Store in Taipei's East District. Positioned as a "hidden library loft in the city," a team composed of experienced stationery and reading professionals has curated over 100 Japanese stationery brands, as well as a diverse selection of Japanese-themed books and magazines. A Japanese-themed exhibition was also planned for the opening, aiming to provide all readers in the fashion hub of Taipei's East District with an exquisite reading space that combines a beautiful lifestyle and refined taste.

The newly reopened Eslite Zhongxiao SOGO Store, after a five-year hiatus, occupies a 160-ping space that presents a multifaceted hidden library loft. In addition to the brand-new Japanese theme, it is organized around four major themes: spiritual nourishment, inner perspectives, flavorful explorations, and knowledge classrooms. It comprehensively selects a variety of books and magazines including new information, literature and art, and family-oriented humanities, while also offering lifestyle comfort items such as home goods, utensils and miscellaneous goods, and business boutique items, meeting readers' various reading and lifestyle needs.

In addition, to satisfy auditory experiences beyond reading, the Eslite Zhongxiao SOGO Store has also set up a vinyl music corner in this small yet beautiful hidden library. With a focus on classic vinyl records, it recommends iconic vinyl pressings and has carefully selected 30 vinyl items exclusively sold by Eslite, including Disney color vinyls, Rolling Stones exclusives, and The Beatles. It hopes to combine books, objects, and vinyl music to transform reading into a slow-living fashion amid the bustling urban pace, making the Eslite Zhongxiao SOGO Store a private retreat where readers can find peace for their body and soul.

During the opening period, the Eslite Zhongxiao SOGO Store also launched its first wave of promotional activities, specially planning a Japanese-themed exhibition and a Japanese-style surprise gift bag. From now until October 31, customers who spend a minimum of NT$1,000 will receive a premium tea selection from Twinings "Tea for Reading"; those who spend a minimum of NT$2,500 will receive a "Fragrance for Reading" deLightful time scented candle. Additionally, during the first week of the opening on October 10 (Saturday) afternoon, two planting DIY workshops will be held, inviting readers to create eucalyptus-dried flower wreaths and hand-tied bouquets full of forest vibes, experiencing the beauty of creative living together.
