The Taipei City Government offered free limited-edition 'Buzz Bags' and 'Little Bee Cake Towels' to those attending the flag-raising ceremony on National Day, creating a huge sensation. Many were disappointed for not getting one. Now, to meet public demand, the city government announced that sales will begin on the 14th at the City Government Souvenir Center.

During the National Day flag-raising ceremony held by the Taipei City Government, 3,000 'Buzz Bags' were distributed. Many fans lined up as early as the early hours of the morning, which led to issues such as queue-jumping and scrambling. Later, due to limited quantities of the Buzz Bags, Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je supplemented the giveaway with little bee-shaped towels, once again sparking a scramble among fans trying to grab them on stage.

The Tourism and Communications Bureau stated that due to overwhelming demand, starting October 14, the 'Buzz Bag' and 'Little Bee Cake Towel' will be available for sale at the City Government Souvenir Center, priced at NT$150 and NT$120 respectively. The Buzz Bag is made of nylon material and can be used as a backpack, side bag, or shopping bag, featuring a colorful mesh pocket on the lower left corner. Meanwhile, the 'Little Bee Cake Towel' on the National Day cake has a lovable bee design that’s hard to resist.

Starting October 14, the City Government Souvenir Center plans to offer 1,000 'Little Bee Cake Towels'. Additionally, due to production lead time, only 100 'Buzz Bags' will be available on the 14th, with another 900 going on sale on the 26th. Fans, don’t miss out.

 

In addition, the Taipei City Government Tourism and Communications Bureau has innovatively developed a gift box representing Taipei. Alongside the National Day Buzz Bags on October 26, they will also launch the pioneering 'Taipei Classic Gift Box'. The box features a famous painting as its outer packaging, printed with the 'Nong’an Street Intersection' by local painter Tsai Yin-tang. Born in Taiwan during the Japanese colonial period in the early 20th century, Tsai’s classic work 'Nong’an Street Intersection' vividly depicts the bright and bustling modern street scene of Taipei’s Zhongshan North Road in the 1950s, hence also known as 'Morning Light on Zhongshan North Road'. The artwork boasts high color saturation and rich hues, fully capturing the charm of Taipei. Inside the box is a representation of Taipei City — the 'Beimen LEGO Set', allowing the public to use LEGO bricks as a creative medium to build and collect memories of Taipei's history. There are also two popular 'Little Bee Cake Towels', perfect for personal use or as gifts. The Taipei Classic Gift Box is a must-have Taipei souvenir for art, history, or towel enthusiasts. Starting October 26, it will be exclusively available at the Souvenir Center within the City Government Building, originally priced at NT$650, with a special trial sale price of NT$499.
