Japan surprises with the launch of a 101 mini-landmark theme park

You can see Taipei 101 in Japan too！ Japan’s theme park “Tobu World Square” has invested nearly 100 million yen to create a 1:25 scale model of Taipei 101 within the park, which was officially completed and grandly inaugurated on October 4.

Tobu World Square is located in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, in Japan’s Kanto region, and is a well-known local tourist attraction. It is an outdoor world architecture theme park, resembling a miniature world. Since its opening in 1993, the park has accumulated 102 models of famous buildings, including 45 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, all recreated at a 1:25 scale of their real-life counterparts. Each building in the park is crafted with exquisite artistry, showcasing every tiny detail, and even the landscaping around the models is scaled down and integrated with the structures, creating a harmonious and naturally integrated appearance that reflects the Japanese pursuit of perfection in craftsmanship.

The Taipei 101 model located within the park is also built at a 1:25 scale, standing seven stories tall at 21 meters high. It took six months to build and nearly one hundred million Taiwan dollars to complete, finally being unveiled in October 2015. The Taipei 101 model is situated facing the Tokyo Skytree model within the park, echoing the friendly relationship between the two. This follows two consecutive years of close collaboration with Tokyo Skytree, and this year, Taipei 101 has deepened its cooperation with the parent company of Skytree—Japan’s Tobu Group—by authorizing its Tobu World Square to create a scaled-down model of Taipei 101 within the park. It has become the tallest building in the park, standing alongside world-famous landmarks such as the Empire State Building in the U.S. and the Eiffel Tower in France.
