2015 Xinshe Flower Sea Art Kaleidoscope Makes a Colorful Debut

Taiwan’s most popular autumn flower sea event, the “2015 Xinshe Flower Sea & Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival,” is expected to take place from November 7 to December 6. Lasting for a month, this event combines flowers and visual art to present something different from traditional static flower displays. By harnessing the vitality of flowers and merging it with a visual art feast, beautiful blooms are transformed into three-dimensional installations, inviting everyone to join this most beautiful autumn flower-viewing journey.

This year’s Xinshe Flower Sea adopts the theme “Art Kaleidoscope,” creating the “Heart of the Kaleidoscope” as the main visual of the flower carpet. A giant kaleidoscope standing 11 meters tall is used to offer visitors the most romantic and dreamlike visual experience. In addition to the colorful, three-dimensional flower sea arrangements, the park also incorporates the fantastical adventure story of the “Lily” and “Cosmos” flower fairies—Taichung’s signature blooms—making the Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival even more engaging.

The expansive flower carpet area is divided into three major zones: the “Art Rhapsody,” decorated with visual art and delicate floral arrangements using colorful dots to create the most lively section of the Flower Carpet Festival; the vibrant “Rainbow Canvas”; and the adorable and distinctive “Happiness Magic House.” Each uniquely themed flower carpet area offers a refreshing visual experience. In addition, this year’s Flower Sea Festival features five major themes: “Dream Garden,” “Low-Carbon Lohas,” “Happy Encounters,” “Art World,” and “Flowers in Taichung.” These sections use their own colorful floral landscapes to tell vivid stories, leaving visitors amazed at the endless variety of floral expressions.
