Starting from October 10, Toyama Prefecture’s Himi Line launched a brand-new luxury sightseeing train called Belles montagnes et mer (べるもんた), featuring exquisite craftsmanship in its design and combining beautiful views, gourmet food, and fine wines to offer passengers a sensory-rich travel experience.

A fusion of gourmet food and breathtaking sceneryBelles montagnes et merFrom10onward, the train officially began service and is expected to run until2016,2September28, traveling through areas such as Shin-Takaoka, Himi, and Shirotori. There are two round trips per day, with each one-way trip taking approximately45minutes. In addition to serving rice wine brewed using natural water from the Alps, some services also feature sushi chef Sushi Naoto, who prepares nigiri sushi sets using fresh seafood from Toyama Bay, ensuring passengers not only remember the scenic views outside the window but also savor the journey through taste.
