● Caoling Historic Trail
As one of the most representative historic trails in northeastern Taiwan, Caoling Historic Trail transforms into a sea of swaying white waves when autumn arrives, offering a truly refreshing experience. The Northeast Coast National Scenic Area also hosts the11“Caoling Historic Trail Miscanthus Flower Season” event, inviting everyone to head up the trails and admire the autumn miscanthus blossoms!

● Wufen Mountain Hiking Trail
Located at the border of Pingxi District, Ruifang District, and Keelung’s Nuanquan District, Wufen Mountain can be reached via a staircase trail from the trailhead. The hike to the summit takes about two hours. Along the way, you’ll be accompanied by cool, pleasant streams. Once at the top, you’ll see Wufen Mountain’s iconic landmark—the Central Weather Bureau’s weather radar station. The open vista offers sweeping views of the mountains and seas of Ruifang and Keelung Harbor.

● Earless Teapot Mountain Trail
Situated east of Jinguashi, Earless Teapot Mountain is distinctive in shape and has become a local landmark. When viewed from Highway102looking toward Shuangxi from Jinguashi, the rocky peak resembles a teapot without ears—hence its name. The hiking trail up Earless Teapot Mountain features about 300 meters of stone steps with a moderate slope. The path offers wide-ranging views, and from the summit, you can look down upon the Yin-Yang Sea, Jilong Mountain, and the entire Jinguashi area.

● Hutou Mountain Hiking Trail
Although Taoyuan’s Hutou Mountain Park is just a small hill with an elevation of251meters, this urban fringe forest park has long been the most convenient spot for Taoyuan residents to connect with nature and stay active, earning the nickname “Taoyuan’s Back Garden.” Due to past logging, the vegetation along the ridgeline at the summit is now dominated by silvergrass, and the sight of miscanthus flowers fluttering in late autumn attracts many visitors.
