Deng Lijun’s fresh and sweet image remains in the hearts of her fans to this day. The Taipei Explorer Dome recently hosted the “When Will You Return? – Deng Lijun Cultural Relics Memorial Exhibition,” allowing many who miss her to learn more about her story.

A virtual concert featuring Deng Lijun is on display on the first floor of the Taipei Explorer Dome. The Hollywood visual effects team used virtual imaging reconstruction technology to recreate the beautiful figure of Miss Deng Lijun performing her classic song “Sweet Honey.” Dressed in an elegant crimson velvet gown paired with a white fur stole, Deng’s lifelike performance and moving presence allow visitors to relive those wonderful times.

The green gemstone necklace on display was given to Deng Lijun by her mother, and she cherished this piece of jewelry very much. In addition, a special exhibit features a Deng Lijun commemorative album pressed on a Au999 pure gold vinyl record, globally released for the first time in 2014 with a limited run of 3,000 copies. The number 1953 on the front dial represents Deng Lijun’s birth year, while the hour and minute hands pointing to 1:29 mark her birthday on January 29. The gold weight of 13.14 grams symbolizes “1314” – love forever. Her voice will always be worthy of our remembrance.

Deng Lijun’s military performance record remains unmatched. The camouflage uniforms, helmets, as well as the white navy uniforms and orange air force flight suits worn by her during those performances are all exhibited in this special showcase, bringing back memories of Deng wiping sweat from the brows of soldiers standing guard by the sea and singing solo for duty-bound guards. The rich array of exhibits allows visitors to step through a corridor of time and jointly reminisce about the wonderful Deng Lijun era.

Due to overwhelming public response and requests to extend the exhibition, the Tourism Bureau has specially extended the exhibition period until January 22. During the extension period (January 12–22), the first 100 visitors each day can collect a free commemorative booklet at the Special Exhibition Hall of the Taipei Explorer Dome.
