The world's second Ferrari theme park lands in Spain

After the first Ferrari theme park opened in Abu Dhabi in 2010, the world’s second Ferrari theme park has once again been announced to be located at Europe’s largest resort, PortAventura in Spain, with plans to officially open in 2016.

The Spanish Ferrari theme park, located at PortAventura near Barcelona, broke ground in June on a facility built with an investment of 3.4 billion. The park’s biggest highlight is a high-speed roller coaster designed to thrill speed-loving supercar fans. At 112 meters tall, the roller coaster will become the tallest in Europe upon completion. In just five seconds, riders will accelerate from 0 to 180 km/h, delivering an F1-racing-like adrenaline rush.

The Spanish Ferrari theme park covers an area of over 22,000 pyeong (approximately 72,600 square meters). In addition to offering an exclusive area for F1 racing fans, it will also become the world’s largest indoor recreational venue. Designed around a Ferrari theme for family trips, the five-star hotel facilities include 250 rooms, restaurants, and more, allowing all visitors to immerse themselves in the world of Ferrari supercars from morning to night.
