Libraries are repositories of knowledge and play an extremely important role in a community, a city, or even a nation. The level of government attention given to libraries can also reflect the public's love for reading. In Prague, one of Europe’s most recognized beautiful cities, there is a library that has been named one of the most beautiful in the world—the Baroque Library Hall of the Clementinum in Prague.

The Clementinum is a historic complex located in the heart of Prague, Czech Republic, and is the city’s second-largest building complex, facing Prague Castle. Since 1781, it has served as the National Library, boasting a rich collection that once held over 20,000 volumes and preserves nearly 5,000 hand-crafted medieval books—it’s truly a paradise for book lovers.

In addition to its rich collection, the décor of the Clementinum Library is worth appreciating in detail. With a ceiling featuring Renaissance design, along with walls lined with a vast array of books and beautifully scattered globes, it feels as though you've stepped back into the medieval era as a noble aristocrat. Yet what makes this place feel luxurious and abundant isn’t only the exquisitely detailed interior design—it’s also the treasure trove of knowledge contained within the books.
