Every year from Christmas to New Year's, Hong Kong is always bustling with excitement, attracting tourists from around the world to soak up the festive atmosphere. In particular, the Christmas light displays in the outdoor plaza of Ocean Terminal at Harbour City during Christmas are part of the collective memories of Hong Kong people and one of the must-visit spots during Christmas in Hong Kong.

This year, Harbour City’s Christmas lights are in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong Disneyland, transforming the outdoor plaza of Ocean Terminal into the “Happily Ever After” Christmas Street and the “Christmas Fantasy Theatre,” allowing everyone to feel as if they are in the magical Christmas of Disney. Nearly 40 Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Queen Elsa, and Princess Anna, will celebrate the holiday with everyone.

The four major highlights of this year’s Harbour City event include:
● Giant Christmas Tree Arch and Gift Boxes
The entrance to Harbour City’s “Happily Ever After” Christmas Street features a giant Christmas tree arch over 40 tonnes tall, made up of various uniquely shaped stars, with a three-dimensional Mickey Mouse ornament hanging at the top, filling the entrance with a joyful Christmas vibe. The shops along the street are all elaborately decorated with Christmas-themed windows; a row of shops near the waterfront also have their facades tied with red ribbons of different patterns, while their roofs are adorned with Christmas messages made of bulbs, transforming them into giant gift boxes.
● Disney Christmas Windows

Specially set up along the Christmas Street are three Disney Christmas windows, which bring the Christmas joy through different Disney stories, and also offer a sneak peek at the three new entertainment attractions and merchandise for the park’s 10th anniversary. A collection of Disney storybooks showcases the new Broadway-style musical “Disney’s Magic Playhouse.” Mickey Mouse and Goofy will first present the most exciting scenes from the musical. The protagonists of “Frozen” — Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, and the little snowman Olaf — will also make an appearance. Tsum Tsum, a fan-favorite in recent years, will be transformed into a giant cake to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the park.

● Finding the Joyful Presence of Disney Friends and Mickey’s Footprints
The footprints of many Disney friends will be found all over Harbour City’s “Happily Ever After” Christmas Street. Through unique light and shadow effects, you can have a romantic encounter with Disney characters such as those from “Inside Out,” “Snow White,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Cinderella,” “Alice in Wonderland,” and “Tangled’s” Rapunzel at the Christmas Street shops hosting the Christmas party, and take magical silhouette photos together.
 

Additionally, in the splendid “Christmas Fantasy Theatre,” you can also spot Disney friends such as Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Disney bear Duffy and ShellieMay, Woody and Jessie from “Toy Story,” Rex the dinosaur, the Green Army Men, Buzz Lightyear and Slinky Dog, as well as Sulley and Mike from “Monsters, Inc.”
