Accommodation is an unavoidable expense when traveling. In line with the Executive Yuan’s consumption stimulation measures, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has launched a domestic travel subsidy campaign, offering 115,000 sets of discount e-vouchers for travelers to apply for. Each person can receive up to NT$1,000 in accommodation subsidies.Applications opened at 10:00 AM on the 20th.

Travelers wishing to obtain a serial number can, after the application period opens, visit the “Domestic Travel Accommodation Discount Campaign” section on the campaign websites (Taiwan Hospitality & Tourism Network, Tourism Administration Information Network, Taiwan Tourism Calendar), log in their personal information, and apply to receive a discount e-voucher for domestic travel accommodation. When making a reservation, inform the accommodation provider of the discount e-voucher number, which they will register as “reserved,” confirming your inclusion in the subsidy list. Then, present your ID at checkout to verify personal use and enjoy the discount.

The Tourism Bureau stated,The subsidy campaign runs from November 20, 2015, to February 29, 2016,and all citizens of the Republic of China are eligible to participate. Those who obtain a serial number can enjoy a 30% discount on accommodation fees, up to a maximum of NT$1,000, when staying at participating hotels and homestays.
 
※Discount Application Process:
Log in your personal information on the “Domestic Travel Accommodation Discount Campaign” section of the campaign website → inform the accommodation provider of the discount e-voucher number when booking → present your ID at checkout → enjoy the discount.
※Each person is limited to one discount e-voucher. Each voucher provides a 30% discount on one accommodation fee, up to a maximum subsidy of NT$1,000.

※Holders of accommodation vouchers, accommodation discount coupons, or those who book rooms through travel agencies (booking websites) or join group tours organized by travel agencies can also enjoy the accommodation discount subsidy.
