The beautiful scenery and rich natural ecology of Jiaming Lake have made it a favorite among hikers in recent years, attracting many visitors. However, as the number of hikers on the Jiaming Lake National Trail has increased, the area's landscape and wildlife habitats have come under strain. To allow the natural ecology and wildlife to rest and recover, the Taitung Forest District Office has announced that the period from January 5 to March 31, 105 will be designated as Jiaming Lake’s quiet period. During this time, the Jiaming Lake National Trail and all mountain huts along the route (including the Xiangyang Mountain Hut and Jiaming Lake Mountain Hut) will be completely closed, and all entry and mountain hut applications will be suspended.
