No need to book a flight to the Netherlands. Taiwan actually has many beautiful flower fields to offer, especially tulips, known as the “magic flowers” in Europe. With their vibrant colors and unique petals, tulips are perfect for creating a picturesque, exotic vibe in your photos. Due to unstable weather this year, the bloom season is expected to last until mid to late March.ETtoday EBC News has compiled a list of three tulip-viewing spots across Taiwan. 1. Taoyuan – Taoyuan Fairy Valley
The 214-hectare Taoyuan Fairy Valley is said to have the largest number of tulips in Taiwan and is reputed to be one of the earliest places in the world where tulips bloom. During peak season, about 600,000 tulips in dozens of colors including purple, red, yellow, and pink burst into elegant bloom. The valley also features 20,000 mountain cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, chrysanthemums, and over 2,000 types of herbaceous plants. Paired with the valley’s terrain, it forms a one-of-a-kind, colorful floral carpet that looks amazing in every shot.

2. Taichung – Zhongshe Sightseeing Flower Market
Central Taiwan residents looking to see tulips shouldn’t miss Zhongshe Sightseeing Flower Market. The park has introduced 200,000 tulips of up to 50 varieties from Europe, making you feel like you’re walking through a European garden. This year, rare varieties such as the red double-flowered Pirate Tulip and the black “Queen of the Night” tulip have been added. The tulip season is expected to end by mid-March, so don’t wait too long if you want to see them. They will later be followed by lilies and colorful calla lilies. In addition to tulips, there is also a colorful flower field covering six hectares, featuring irises and marigolds — no need to fly to the Netherlands to enjoy a romantic sea of flowers.

3. Nantou - Shanlinxi Eco-Resort
Nantou County’s Shanlinxi Forest Eco-Resort is renowned for its rich natural ecological landscapes. Tulips are widely planted in the flower center area, with blooms expected to last until mid-March. In addition, the resort has planted 1,500 cherry blossom trees, including mountain cherry, pink Yoshino cherry, Wushe cherry, and Fuji cherry. Recently, you can also enjoy the early blooming peonies, allowing you to take in a colorful array of flowers all at once.
