The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, in line with the Executive Yuan’s “Boosting Consumption” initiative, has launched a domestic travel accommodation discount subsidy program. From November 20, 2015, to February 29, 2016, by visiting the designated webpage (Taiwan Accommodation Network, Tourism Administration Information Network, Taiwan Tourism Calendar) and logging in with your national ID number and related personal information, you can obtain an electronic accommodation discount voucher. Each person can receive up to NT$1,000 off. A total of over a thousand homestays, hotels, and tourist hotels across Taiwan are participating, with the list to be continuously updated.

According to the “Domestic Travel Accommodation Discount Subsidy Program for Citizens” webpage on the Taiwan Accommodation Network, the list of participating accommodation providers announced on the 18th includes 58 tourist hotels across Taiwan, such as Taipei Le Méridien Sheraton, Grand Formosa Regent Taipei, Regent Luchu, Hanshin Hotel Kaohsiung, Sun Moon Hotel, The Lalu, and Taroko Jade Resort & Spa; hotel providers include Via Hotel (Dazhi Branch), Ambience Hotel, Ambience Hotel, Kiwi Express Hotel, and Sun Moon Qian...; homestay providers include... You can also enjoy discounts if you book through travel agencies or e-commerce platforms. Some participating accommodations are also offering additional promotions, such as package deals or free upgrades.

Citizens can check the full list of participating accommodation providers on the program webpage (Taiwan Accommodation Network, Tourism Administration Information Network, Taiwan Tourism Calendar) and apply for an electronic discount voucher using their national ID starting November 20. During the campaign period (November 20, 2015, to February 29, 2016), when staying at a participating hotel, simply provide the voucher number when booking to receive the discount. Subsidies are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until the quota is exhausted.
