Cingjing Farm in Nantou is one of Taiwan’s most popular tourist destinations for both domestic and international visitors, often packed with crowds on holidays and frequently creating hazardous scenes of pedestrians and vehicles competing for space. To address this, the Nantou County Government plans to develop elevated safety walkway facilities, separating pedestrians and vehicles. Stretching 3.5 kilometers from Cingjing National Guest House to the Animal Husbandry Center, the walkways will offer sweeping views of Hehuan Mountain, Nanhu Mountain, and the Qilai Mountain Range, becoming a new highlight of Cingjing Farm.

The elevated walkway will be constructed along the right side of Provincial Highway 14A within Cingjing Farm’s pasture area, featuring a steel-framed wooden boardwalk approximately 1.5 kilometers long and 2.5 meters wide. Its height will vary with the terrain, passing by Qingqing Grassland Shop to the North Prairie Visitor Center before connecting to the existing 55-step walkway on Qingqing Prairie, eventually leading to the National Guest House. This forms a 3.5-kilometer circular scenic pedestrian corridor.

The Nantou County Government stated that the walkway will feature elevated boardwalks, observation decks, safe pedestrian pathways, overhead bridges, and other landscaping elements. Once completed, it will not only enhance road safety but also boost the tourism value of Cingjing Farm.
