Kaohsiung residents are in luck — Tigerair Taiwan’s first flight to Okinawa launches with two weekly direct services

Another Japanese destination from Kaohsiung — Tigerair Taiwan’s new route to Naha, Okinawa, officially commenced flights on the 4th. This is the airline’s fourth international route from Kaohsiung, operating twice a week. The total number of weekly flights from Kaohsiung to Japan has now increased to 78. With over 80% of tickets already sold for the Qingming and Dragon Boat Festival holidays, travelers planning an overseas trip should book quickly.

According to Tigerair’s plans, the route will initially operate twice a week — on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The outbound flight departs Kaohsiung at 4:55 PM, and the return flight leaves Naha at 8:30 PM. Starting from the 26th, the outbound flight will be adjusted to 2:35 PM, and the return flight to 6:20 PM.

Okinawa, known for its beautiful island scenery, has always been one of the public’s favorite overseas travel destinations. Currently, there are six major Japanese destinations from Kaohsiung — Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Ryukyu, Sapporo, and Kumamoto. With Tigerair adding Okinawa to its route network, travel convenience for Kaohsiung residents heading to Japan will be greatly enhanced.
