Kewpie (Qpi(e)), a renowned Japanese brand famous for mayonnaise, was established in 1925.According to Lonely Planet, this spring Kewpie will continue last year’s experiment—the “Mayonnaise Café.”

To celebrate Mayonnaise Day on March 1 each year, these two mayonnaise-themed cafés will appear in two bustling districts in Japan: one located in Tokyo’s Shibuya district, a 10-minute walk from the station, operating from March 1 to 31; the other in Nagoya in central Honshu, open from April 3 to 30.

The Tokyo location will offer both lunch and dinner options, with a total of 126 seats, including 24 outdoor terrace spots. The menu includes pizza, salad, tempura, shrimp noodles, and more. The Mayonnaise Museum (Mayo Terrace) in Tokyo’s suburban area of Chofu, established in 2014, is a great place for the public to learn about the history of mayonnaise, where mayonnaise enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of snacks.
