With the New Year’s Day and Lunar New Year holidays approaching, exciting and interesting exhibitions are popping up across Taiwan, featuring popular anime such as One Piece, Doraemon, and SpongeBob. ● One Piece Carnival Exhibition
Since the ONE PIECE anime debuted in Taiwan in 2001, it will soon celebrate its 15th anniversary. To show appreciation to fans, the organizers have specially created the “One Piece Carnival – ONE PIECE Animation 15th Anniversary Special,” which includes never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage, Taiwan’s first-ever 3D scene settings, and fun interactive games. The event is divided into four carnival zones, inviting all One Piece fans to dive into the thrilling world of pirates, join the Straw Hat crew for a good time, and experience a brand-new adventure.

● Frozen Wonderland Exhibition
The highest-grossing animated film in history, Disney’s Frozen, broke over $1.3 billion in global box office revenue in 2013, and its theme song “Let It Go” became a worldwide hit. This winter, Frozen is set to make a grand appearance at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei.

The exhibition will authentically recreate movie scenes, taking visitors into Queen Elsa’s icy kingdom for a bone-chilling experience at minus 8°C. Get up close and personal with Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven as if you’re right inside the movie. In addition, the exhibition will showcase over a hundred works including sketches, design drawings, scene paintings, character designs, sculptures, rare manuscripts, and selected animated shorts—giving audiences a glimpse of the pinnacle of animation artistry.

The long-running Japanese manga “Detective Conan,” which has been serialized for 20 years, is coming to Taiwan for an exhibition. Visitors can see precious manuscripts by Gosho Aoyama, the cool presence of Detective Conan, classic scenes, or even become a detective themselves to solve mysterious cases.

In the blink of an eye, the Chibi Maruko-chan anime has accompanied many people for 25 years. This special exhibition invites adults who have grown up to step into the “Chibi Maruko-chan School Festival – 25th Anniversary Special Exhibition” and relive the fun memories of Maruko, recalling the innocent childhood shared with her. Children who haven’t grown up yet are also welcome to visit the exhibition and experience Maruko’s life firsthand, immersing themselves in classic scenes such as the Maruko household, the school classroom, the school festival, and the nighttime celebration, and feel the unique charm of Chibi Maruko-chan.
