Shake Shack is a popular burger brand from the United States. Its first outlet opened in Madison Square Park, New York, in 2004. Although it hasn’t been around for very long, it has already earned accolades such as “New York’s Most Popular Restaurant” and “One of the Most Influential Burgers in History.” Currently, Shake Shack can be found in 12 U.S. states, as well as in cities like London, Dubai, and Moscow. The opening in the Outer Garden of Meiji Shrine area in Tokyo marks its first store in Asia.

The store’s signature item, the “SHACK Burger” (priced at 680 yen), emphasizes using 100% naturally raised, hormone-free Australian beef, aiming to provide customers with safe and reassuring ingredients. In addition, the “SMOKE SHACK” (880 yen) is also a must-order — featuring applewood-smoked bacon paired with jalapeños and the signature SHACK sauce, all layered on a cheeseburger. Just imagining it makes your mouth water. For desserts, Shake Shack Tokyo offers Japan-exclusive handmade ice cream topped with four original ingredients: yuzu miso milk candy, matcha, soybean flour, and matcha macarons — an exclusive treat you definitely shouldn’t miss.
