Construction of the FIFA World Football Museum began in 2013 and was completed on December 18, 2015. The exhibits are rich and varied, starting with just the World Cup trophy and the jersey of the 1938 Italian champion team. Through donations, loans, and auctions, the museum now houses a collection of over a thousand items from FIFA’s 209 member countries.

The exhibition hall features 15 interactive zones and over 60 digital screens, using multimedia to narrate the founding story of FIFA, the most memorable moments of past tournaments, and the global development of football. In addition to displaying the World Cup trophy, images, match footage, and documents, the museum also includes a library with about 4,000 football-related books, an interactive learning space called the Lab, and a gaming area. There is also a casual bistro, a coffee bar, and a viewing bar named “Sportsbar 1904,” as well as a souvenir shop selling specially customized FIFA memorabilia. It is a pilgrimage destination not to be missed by football fans around the world.
