Fans of American movies will likely be familiar with roadside food trucks, especially the Cuban sandwich truck from Chef (which makes mouths water just thinking about it!). This American food trend has gradually taken off in Taiwan, turning “chasing food trucks” into a new urban pastime. In bustling Taipei, there are three well-known mobile food trucks that possess an almost magical power to draw crowds with their aroma – and once you’ve tried them, you’re likely to become a fan, following them wherever they go.

Wandering Breakfast Truck

The Wandering Breakfast Truck was originally founded and operated by Def, roaming around Taipei for several years and gradually gaining popularity. Though the truck is now under new management, the breakfast offerings remain largely based on the recipes initially developed by Def. Moreover, instead of roaming different locations, the truck now has a fixed spot at Taipei Arena, so fans no longer have to chase it all over the city.
