Want to take on the One-Day Twin Towers challenge that Mayor Ko Wen-je completed in 28 hours last year? No need to be athletic—start with the easy version！In Taipei City, there’s an “Easy Version of Taipei’s Twin Towers” that can be easily conquered in just 2 hours！Launched by JoiiUp Hongying Technology“JoiiSports Taipei Twin Towers”invites locals and tourists to experience the unique cultural heritage and local food culture of Taipei’s Twin Towers by walking along “Tower” City Street and “Tower” Leisure Road along Nanjing East-West Road. Along the way, participants can also collect free prizes—killing two birds with one stone！

The “Taipei Twin Towers” refer to “Tower City Street” in Datong District and “Tower Leisure Road” in Songshan District, with Nanjing East-West Road in Taipei City running through both. From west to east, they showcase four distinct vibes: historical culture, tourism, urban finance, and local life. Through the JoiiSports app, the public can choose either Tower Leisure Road or Tower City Street as their starting point and take on the challenge by walking, cycling, or using YouBike at an average speed below 20 km/h.

The total straight-line distance of the “Taipei Twin Towers” is about 7 kilometers. The Dadaocheng Dihua Street area in the west boasts historic streets with old buildings and popular traditional shops,where participants can opt to join the well-known English-guided tour group “Tour Me Away” to learn about Dadaocheng’s most beautiful history through storytelling.Along the way, you’ll pass by Taipei’s most delicious Ningxia Night Market, then head east to smell the strong Japanese cultural vibe of the Linkou North Road shopping area and Linkou Park. Further east, you’ll witness iconic hotels that have evolved with the times—Brother Hotel, Taipei Westin Sheraton Grand Formosa, and Okura Prestige Taipei. Continuing along Tower Leisure Road, you’ll arrive at Raohe Night Market, while the Rainbow Bridge over the Keelung River serves as the final stop of your journey.

To encourage participation, JoiiUp has partnered with major strategic allies and shops along the Taipei Twin Towers route to provide participants with refreshments along the way and finisher rewards.There are a total of 11 refreshment stations along Nanjing East-West Road, including the Dadaocheng Culture Information Station offering Eco-Green coffee packs, Youji Tea providing tea bags, Taipei Westin Sheraton Grand Formosa – Elite Bakery offering maple syrup croissants and Kansai black tea, and Matthew’s Selections offering plain yogurt.
