New attraction in Taichung: A dreamy "Cloud Window" café with clouds floating in the air

With clouds drifting through a pink, dreamlike space, doesn’t it just make you feel happy just thinking about it if you’re a girl at heart? BANG Bang Melting Cheese Café, which opened in Taichung at the end of 2016, has become a new popular photo spot on Instagram. The café has created a “Cloud Window” area, making it a hit with girls who can’t stop taking photos there.

BANG Bang Melting Cheese Café is located in Xitun District, Taichung City. The entire store features large glass windows paired with pink walls, and traces of Alice in Wonderland can be seen everywhere. The most popular seating area is the “Cloud Window seating zone,” where two clouds hang from the ceiling and glow under the lights, adding even more atmosphere that makes your heart melt. It’s perfect for snapping cute photos with those fluffy clouds.

The shop really understands what girls love, and every corner is designed with photo opportunities in mind. The bar area is high-quality and made of marble, where the café’s signature melting toast and drinks are displayed—perfect for casual photos. There’s also a full Korean-style neon wall with a blackboard background, featuring the café’s logo in the center. The pink lighting combined with blue and white creates a distinctly Korean café style. The blackboard section is decorated with various hand-drawn illustrations to satisfy girls’ desire for photo-worthy backdrops.

The café’s signature dish is its melting toast, loaded with cheese for an incredibly satisfying bite. Recently, they also launched a series of Italian pasta dishes priced at just over NT$200, keeping things affordable. BANG Bang Melting Cheese Café is pet-friendly—pets can be brought in carriers or strollers. If you’re lucky, you might even spot the adorable dog manager Mini, whose marshmallow-like appearance is totally heart-melting and 100% therapeutic.
