Outside Tokyo, the Sumiyoshi Kawazu-zakura cherry blossom season is a major spring event in Sakado City, a suburb of Tokyo. Around the confluence of the Yaji River and Iimori River in Tsukagoechi, Sakado City, vast fields of Kawazu-zakura trees bloom spectacularly. The expansive riverside scenery paired with pink cherry blossoms makes a stroll here a delightful spring experience.
