The Shan Chuan Colored Glaze Suspension Bridge, a popular attraction in the first quarter of 2016, frequently became a topic of discussion due to the relationship between the large number of visitors and local residents. To provide a better and safer recreational experience at the bridge, Pingtung County Government closed the bridge from March 1 to April 15 for facility upgrades, and reopened it on April 16, beginning to charge a facility management and maintenance fee.

Visiting Methods and Hours
Weekdays (Tuesday to Friday, Monday closed; however, if a public holiday falls on a Monday, it will be open): 09:00 – 16:00.Holidays (including consecutive holidays and national holidays): 09:00 – 17:00.
Access to the bridge is limited to 100 visitors at a time, so visitors must obtain a number ticket before purchasing tickets and entering. The number of tickets issued and their distribution times are announced by the Pingtung County Government.
Group Reservation Notes
In response to the reopening, online group reservations are now available.
Daily reservation slots are available at 09:00, 09:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00, 13:30, 14:00, 14:30, 15:00, and 15:30 — a total of 14 time slots. Group size limit for reservations: 30 to 50 people. Reservations must be made 3 to 30 days in advance. The same group leader may not make a repeat reservation within one month, and no more than two reservations can be made per day. Monday is not open for reservations or visits; if a consecutive holiday falls on a Monday, it will remain open (in line with the opening hours of the Taiwan Indigenous Peoples Cultural Park).

Fee Standards
1. Full Price: NT$50.2. Discounted Price: NT$40. Applies to groups of 30 or more people who would otherwise be required to pay the full price.
3. Special Discount Price: NT$30. Applies to the following individuals:
(1) Residents of the county (with valid ID).
(2) Seniors aged 65 or above, or Indigenous seniors aged 55 or above (with valid ID).
(3) Children aged 7 to under 12 (with valid proof).
(4) Volunteers holding a Volunteer Service Honor Card.
4. Free of Charge:
(1) Residents of Sandi Village in Sandimen Township, Beiyeh Village in Majia Township, and Shuimen Village in Neipu Township (with valid ID).
(2) Those passing through for official duties and approved by the county government.
(3) Individuals with disabilities and one accompanying person (with disability certificate).
(4) Children under six years old (with valid proof).
