Suvela Manor

Nestled on the mountains of Nanzhuang in Miaoli, the nature-surrounded “Suvela Manor” is a wooden European-style building built along the hillside, with an eye-catching exterior. The garden landscaping within the estate can instantly make you feel like a flower fairy, wandering through a secret garden. Combining a scenic restaurant with a homestay, it offers a 360-degree view of the misty mountain scenery. The restaurant seating is divided into indoor and outdoor areas, with the indoor section featuring extensive wood decor and transparent glass at every seat, allowing different angles to enjoy the outdoor views.

There are two highlights in the estate not to be missed: outdoors, there is a seating area that looks like it’s wearing a bamboo hat, with the entire building seemingly embedded in a tree—this is the hidden “treehouse”! Also highly popular is the rocking chair outdoor platform, which has an extremely low turnover rate. Lounging lazily on it, swaying back and forth, no one wants to get up.

Mountain Rose

Nanzhuang in Miaoli isn’t just about the old street—hidden in the mountains is a scenic café with top-notch views, “Mountain Rose.” Endless mountain vistas stretch out before you, resembling a fairyland against the blue sky and white clouds. The restaurant has two floors, with indoor, outdoor, semi-outdoor, and terrace areas on both the first and second levels. No matter where you sit, after a hearty meal, most people head to the second-floor outdoor terrace to take in the endless green mountains. Even on rainy days when the weather isn’t great, people still stay here under umbrellas, enjoying the mountain scenery in the rain, which has a unique charm. It’s worth mentioning that the food at Mountain Rose is quite high quality, unlike that of typical scenic restaurants.

Shan Furong Café

Located in Miaoli’s Nanzhuang, there is a garden paradise that girls dream of—the “Shan Furong Café,” which opened in 1996 and can be called the pioneer of mountain scenic cafés. The shop is designed like a European garden with various plants. The owner, Ms. Weng, says that the garden is planted with different flowers throughout the year, so no matter when you visit, you’ll see seasonal blooms everywhere, delighting girls and making it hard to put the camera down.

Paradise Castle

Located in the Mountain Lake area, Sky City is designed to resemble a medieval small castle. Every corner is filled with distinctly dreamy elements—arched entrances, traditional sloped roofs of cottages, undulating fences, and more—making it a hotspot for netizens to take beautiful photos. In fact, within Sky City lies the charmingly European-styled Paradise Castle, where many visitors come to dine while enjoying mountain town views.
