Sleep in a 360-degree transparent room next to sharks at the aquarium – free stay

After creating a buzz with its Van Gogh-themed room in collaboration with the Art Institute of Chicago, the popular rental platform Airbnb has teamed up with an aquarium in Paris, France, to offer a 360-degree transparent room where guests can sleep for free surrounded by 35 sharks — and even receive round-trip airfare to Paris.

On the rental platform Airbnb, anyone can rent out their idle space as a host to earn rental income. Compared to regular hotels, you can often find surprisingly unique accommodations here. This time, Airbnb has partnered with Aquarium de Paris in France to launch a free stay event, inviting three lucky guests between April 11 and 13 to stay in a 360-degree transparent room surrounded by sharks.

The event will take place in a glass room located ten meters underwater in the aquarium’s shark tank. The room features a circular double bed for the selected guests to sleep in. In addition to spending the night surrounded by sharks, guests will be treated to dinner and an aquarium tour. Renowned shark expert Fred Buyle will dive into the tank to introduce guests to shark behavior, aiming to change people’s perceptions of sharks.
