To accommodate passenger demand during Mother’s Day transport in 2016, Taiwan Railways will operate a total of 97 additional train services across all lines from Friday, May 6, 2016, to Monday, May 9, 2016, for a period of four days; among them, on the Eastern Line, there will be 30 Tzu-Chiang Limited Express services, 17 Chu-Kuang Express services, 4 Fu-Hsing Semi-Express services, and 1 Local Train service, totaling 52 services; on the Western Line, there will be 26 Tzu-Chiang Limited Express services, 12 Chu-Kuang Express services, and 2 Fu-Hsing Semi-Express services, totaling 40 services; on the South-Link Line, there will be 1 additional Chu-Kuang Express service and 4 Fu-Hsing Semi-Express services, totaling 5 services.

Online and telephone booking for the May 6–9 train services opens at midnight on April 22 (Friday).
