Taiwan’s first shopping mall development project that emphasizes consumer experience – ‘Dayuege Caoya Boulevard’ – will grandly open on May 9th. Developed by “Dayuege Development,” it integrates all the elements people love: shopping, dining, sports, family fun, entertainment, culture, leisure, and vacation. The Dayuege Group has also exclusively imported an international theme park from Japan – “Suzuka Circuit Park” – which will open simultaneously. Dayuege Caoya Boulevard blends shopping with a full range of sports and entertainment experiences, targeting mainly families with children to create a refreshing and exciting leisure shopping destination.

“Dayuege Caoya Boulevard” covers a land area of 8.7 hectares (26,400 pyeong), one-third of which is the Suzuka Circuit Park area. Authorized exclusively overseas by Japan’s Suzuka Raceway, it features a variety of family-friendly amusement facilities that not only provide educational entertainment but are also loved by both adults and children as a family theme park. The remaining two-thirds is the shopping mall area, with a commercial floor space of approximately 34,600 pyeong. The development adopts a low-density approach, with only three above-ground floors and one underground level, allowing consumers to see the blue sky and green trees. The indoor space is bright, spacious, and comfortable, comparable to large shopping malls abroad. It has not only been awarded the Green Building Silver Certification but also received unanimous acclaim from the National Excellence in Construction Awards jury, winning the 2015 “Gold Award” in the Public Construction category for Best Planning and Design.

“Dayuege Caoya Boulevard and Suzuka Circuit Park” are themed around European architectural styles. The entrance plaza area features grand and classical European-style buildings, while the outdoor pedestrian street creates a romantic and elegant European streetscape. It also introduces a classic handcrafted antique park tram and an exquisitely classic carousel; this carousel can accommodate up to 88 people, making it the largest in Taiwan. Its most distinctive feature is the life-sized 1:10 scale replica of Japan’s Suzuka Raceway’s figure-eight track, as well as parent-child amusement facilities imported from Japan’s birthplace, focusing on transportation themes, hands-on control, and educational fun. It is also Taiwan’s first entry-free theme park, eliminating the burden of admission tickets so that families can enjoy a more relaxed and carefree experience.

C.Y. Tsai, Chairman of Dayuege Development Co., Ltd., stated that “Dayuege Caoya Boulevard and Suzuka Circuit Park” is currently the largest base development project adjacent to a city metro station in Taiwan. It will become a new landmark for tourism in Kaohsiung. With the convenience brought by deep collaboration with the Kaohsiung MRT and the Easycard system, it is predicted to attract 6 million visitors via the metro annually, bringing over 3.6 million domestic and international tourists, with total annual visitors to Caoya Boulevard expected to exceed 12 million. Not only does it offer consumers a new international and innovative shopping experience, but Dayuege Development also has strong confidence in its performance. Moreover, Caoya Boulevard creates over 5,000 job opportunities for Kaohsiung and provides residents with a new choice for high-quality leisure and consumption.
