A New Option for Traveling to Japan: Luna Ship’s Trial Voyage from Hualien to Ishigaki Island

There’s a new way to travel to Japan. The Huagang Group announced that its Luna Ship will conduct a trial voyage on May 14 between Hualien and Ishigaki Island. Ishigaki Island is about 200 kilometers from Taiwan, with an estimated sailing time of around four hours. In the future, efforts will also be made to secure it as a regular route, offering more diverse new travel options and developing tourism between the two destinations.

The trial voyage will be led by an economic exchange inspection group headed by Legislator Hsiao Bi-khim, who will engage in economic and tourism resource exchanges with local officials from Ishigaki Island. The aim is to boost tourism demand between the two sides and further promote the development of local hotels, dining, and related tourism industries.
