Tom Hanks plays a salesman caught in a midlife crisis. In order to escape massive debts and pay for his daughter's college tuition, he flies all the way from the United States to Saudi Arabia, just to pitch tech products to the local king, hoping to save his miserable life.

This sets off an overseas journey. He thinks he can earn a fortune this way, but things don’t go as planned — the king never shows up, leaving him no choice but to wait helplessly, as it’s his only chance to turn his life around.

Tom Hanks once again embodies the spirit of “Forrest Gump,” saving his own life. Coupled with Tom Tykwer’s stylized storytelling, the film is more touching and inspiring than "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," with a gamble level comparable to "Birdman." Audiences are sure to gain various insights about life after watching.
