Tucked away in a small alley in Zhongshan District, Taipei, there’s a flower-decorated café adorned entirely with fresh blooms and dried flowers. The soft, warm lighting fills the space with a cozy and relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to momentarily escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

As you step through the newly renovated red-brick gate, you’re greeted by rows of lush green plants at the entrance, instantly brightening your mood and opening the door to this little urban garden. Inside Chuwang Café, the space is dominated by white walls and wooden tables and chairs — simple, bright, and spacious. On sunny days, sunlight streams in through the large floor-to-ceiling windows, creating yet another delightful ambiance.

The most eye-catching spot in the entire café is this fragrant floral corner. Fresh, colorful blooms exude a low-key romance, and their delicate fragrance invites you to lean in closer. Nearby shelves display green plants, unique vases, and currently trendy dried flower bouquets, showcasing timeless beauty. These floral displays are also for sale, making the place not just a café but also a mini flower shop.

Chuwang Café isn’t just captivating with its décor — its drinks and meals are equally well thought out. The made-to-order sandwiches and toast are delightfully soft, filled with specially seasoned tender chicken cutlets and fresh greens, offering a simple and healthy option. Beyond light bites, the café also serves different main dishes daily, mainly curry rice, with its comforting Japanese home-style flavor winning repeat visits from many diners.
